This project creates a complete brand and new identity for the town of Staines in the north east of the UK. Staithes was once a thriving fishing village however in the 21st century is mostly known as a holiday destination and its famous art festival held at the end of summer.
The mission whilst designing branding of this simple sea side get away was brining it into the present whilst keeping its fishing heritage charm. It was key that the branding felt authentic to the town and would be accepted as a true reflection of the town history and vlaues.
Despite wanting to keep the branding following the historic nature of the town, it was essential to have modern elements in order to be able to promote the town on social media in order to draw in tourists and trade to keep the small town flourishing.
